Christian Wapp age 27, his wife Dorothea age 38 and their 2 children, Christian age 11 and Johannes age 3 came to the US in 1872 and are listed as being on the same passenger ship, The Queen, that sailed from Germany, as Heinrich and Anna Barbara Müller (my ancestors). The two families also appeared on the same census listing, next to each other, in Harmony, Vernon County, Wisconsin shortly thereafter.

Wartau is the only pre-1900 place of citizenship for Wapp - so "your" Wapp will most likely be from Wartau as well - and there is a fair chance, they are related.
