Rutz von Buchs SG

I am an australian whose father was born in switzerland. I am interested in finding out more about my family tree in particular the Rutz side of the tree. My grandmother was Margrith Rutz (b 7th Nov 1915 d. 2011) from Buchs SG only child of Gallus Rutz (b. 13th Nov 1883 d. unknown) and Anna Rothenberger (b. 30th Oct 1886 d. unknown) both also of Buchs; she married Johannes (Emil) Gahler. Gallus's parents were also Gallus Rutz and Margarethe Roth (dates unknown). I would be willing to pay someone to help research my family as my poor german skills means that I cannot read all the information available on the internet. Den 07.11.1915 um 9 Uhr 30 Minuten nachmittags ist geboren worden zu Buchs Rutz Margareth, eheliche Tochter des Rutz Gallus, Beruf Landwirt, von Buchs, wohnhaft in Buchs, und dessen Ehefrau Anna, geborene Rothenberger.

Den 13.11.1883 um 11 Uhr nachmittags wurde in Buchs lebend geboren Gallus, ehelicher Sohn des Gallus Rutz, Beruf Drechsler, von und in Buchs, und der Margareth Roth von Kappel.

The document includes the father's signature.

I have sent you photographs of these two documents by mail.

The marriage of Gallus Rutz and Margareth Roth is not recorded in the Zivilstandsregister, which was started in 1876 - so it must have taken place before 1876. The Bürgerregister must be checked for that - available only on film, but the film reader was occupied during my visit to the State Archive ... will have to wait.

Roland Thommen has only copied the years, not the exact dates, but with his list it should be fairly easy to find the exact dates in the church records (filmed by the Mormons).

Leider sind die Taufbücher von Buchs nur vor 1840 online zugänglich.

In der Sammlung Thommen findet sich nur eine einzige 1879 geborene Anna Rutz, Tochter des Fridolin (1855-1904) und der Maria Zogg (1855-1925). Ohne Nachweis der Eltern der gesuchten Anna, kann diese aber nicht als gesichert angenommen werden.

Wer forscht Rutz von Buchs und hat die am 26.06.1879 geborene Anna in seinen Daten?

I don't think Anna Rutz is one of mine as my Gallus Rutz (1883-1917) has parents of Gallus & Margarethe Roth not Fridolin and Maria.

Correct - at least no "short connection".

In the forum we discuss everything on a single family (defined by name and place of citizenship, e.g. "Rutz von Buchs SG") in a single thread. Due to this people who had contributed to the topic earlier will automatically be informed about new questions/comments ... and might see a connection to information not yet published in the forum.
