Schneiter, Hans in Leeuwarden

Beitrag von henryjoon » Mo 8. Dez 2008, 01:35

According the register of 1762 Hans Schneiter came back home to Neunforn,,Thurgau,Swizerland in September of 1746 and required his baptism certificate because he intended to marry in Leeuwarden,,Friesland,Holland (Sisgen?, Braun?). According the same register Hans Schneiter died Sept. 1st, 1781 in Leeuwarden.

Has any Dutch family researcher further (and more precise) information ?? I have the ancestors of Hans back to about 1590.

Hallo Henryjoon,

At www.tresoar.nl I find this information about a burial of a man, who most likely is your ancestor. Almost certainy his family name has to be Schneider instead of Schneiter. I will search a little bit more.

Kind regards,

Bernard Krijbolder

Hallo Henryjoon,

As I can't find the marriage in question, please be so kind to give the full names of Hans' parents. Then I will give it a try once more. By the way: Sisgen Braun seems to be an impossible name. Where did you get this information? Do you have copies of documents?

Kind regards,

Bernard Krijbolder
