Looking for a village, town or commune in the Ticino area of Switzerland,
with the name of "Soveltreilan" or similar.
Could be in a canton called "Tiano". or could possibly be in Lombardia, or Trento
in northern Italy.
Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks, no macth as yet.
I am beginning to think the name might be Sovel Treilan (or similar),
and more likely Italian than swiss.
will keep looking ......

Have found that "Switzerland" on UK census records, has been mis-interpreted as "Soveltrein" - part of the mystery solved.
