Deutsche Zusammenfassung unten.
With the help of Dutch Mennonites Swiss Mennonites fled Switzerland in August 1711 on 4 ships. In a book I found on the site http://www.e-rara.ch/ of the University of Bern I found on pages 307-313 an extended list with names of the passengers of the 4 ships that carried them to The Netherlands.
The book is called Geschichte der Bernischen Täufer, by Ernst Müller, Pfarrer in Langnau (1895) and is downloadable from above mentioned site. The book was printed in Fraktur-Schrift, so you need to find a transcription alphabet on the internet. There are many available.
In his book Ernest Müller names the ships the Emmenthaler Schiff, the Oberländer Schiff, the Thuner Schiff and the Neuenburger Schiff. Are these their names or does he call them after the place they left from? I don’t know.
Some passengers left the ship they were on in Breisach or Mannheim in Germany but most of them travelled to Amsterdam. A lot of people stayed in the Netherlands. You can look for their descendants on www.wiewaswie.nl. Some went back either to Germany or Switzerland. Some travelled on to the United Kingdom or the USA.
Anyhow, I transcribed the list (in German) and added information where I could (in English). Not as much as I would have liked to but I hope it will still help you in your search for your ancestors and their descendants.
In separate contributions (below) you will find the names per ship.
The book has been translated to English - and is available from the translator.
